The University of Okara (UO) is a public university located in Renala Khurd, Okara District, Punjab, Pakistan.
History
- Established in 2016 as an upgrade from the Okara campus of the University of Education, Lahore.
- The Provincial Assembly of Punjab passed the "University of Okara Bill 2016" on February 23, 2016.
- Following that, the Government of Punjab issued a notification on April 1, 2016, for the upgradation.

- UO offers undergraduate and graduate programs in various disciplines including arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, education, and commerce.
- It is considered one of the top public universities in Okara.
